Primarily zinfandel, with some syrah, petite sirah, carignan, grenache and barbera. Lovely aromas of bright plum fruit,red and black cherries, mint, bitter chocolate and allspice with earthy undertones. The palate is dark and focused with notes of briar patch, sweet spice, and black tea perfectly balanced by the zinfandel-based fruit forwardness. Sophisticatedly layered, the meduim bodied palate is finely chalked and refreshing, with velvety tannins and elegant vibrancy that lasts through the easy going finsih.
