In the glass, the brilliant ruby color is highlighted with reflections of garnet, and though it is dense, it still retains the clarity of youth. The nose is open and fragrant, with notes of red fruits like raspberry, cherry, and red currant threaded through a subtle tapestry of dried herbs, black pepper, lavender, garrigue, warm earth, and a touch of anise. Juicy, vivid and crunchy on the palate, filling the mouth with flavors of red cherry, ripe plum, and raspberry paired with earthy undertones of crushed rocks, dried thyme, and a hint of black olive. The medium body is supported by fresh and lively acidity and fine-grained tannins. Very smooth on the lingering finish, with notes of those same red fruits and herbs, though distinguished by a slight minerality.
