Deep and intensely ruby red, with reflections of garnet around the edges. BRightly expressive on the nose, with notes of crushed strawberries and raspberries, pepper, violets and juniper backed by a subtle hint of licorice. the palate is a complex blend of fruity and woody notes due to the blend of grapes used: Grenache brings ripe figs and plums to the table while the syrah lends the pepperiness and spice to the mix, all backed by that woodsy juniper and violet character from the Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Silky like velvet, the tannins are supple rather than gripping, allowing this wine to be powerful without sacrificing the accessibility borne from the pure fruit character which shines through to the finish.
