This merlot dominant Bordeaux is a beautiful, deep red color all the way to the rim. With an expressive and powerful nose of red cherries and blackcurrants, the palate is a friendly and toasty quilt of mocha laid over a fleshy and juicy core of black cherry, plum compote and other dark fruits. The deep core of fruit is perfectly balanced by a fine-grained and silkily supple tannin structure that is all held together by the toastiness born from barrel aging, which is especially noticeable in the finish.
Blend: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
