Made from 100% cabernet sauvignon, aged 26 months in new oak. Aromas of blackberry, plum and olong lift from the glass with lots of cassis, tobacco and cedary spiced aromatics as well. The palate is ripe and focused, deep blackberries and dark plums with a core of raspberry, mulberry and black currant. Lightly oaked, it mostly relies on ripe fruit to power its expression. Full-bodied and rich, with a big structure of firm tannins, wonderful freshness and a chaparrel-tinged finish of singed apllewood, dried anise and red tea.
