When we saw that this Sunday is NATIONAL WINE & CHEESE DAY, we knew there was only one place to go to get all of the cheeses we'll need for some delicious at home pairings with our wines -- and that place is Reverie Creamery!

ABOUT REVERIE CREAMERY
Reverie Creamery celebrates all things cheese and its owners want everyone to join in the fun!

A small scale cheesemaking company, cheese store, and cheese destination, Reverie Creamery was founded by Riko Chandra and Jim Howard in Chautauqua, New York. Reverie both produces its own seasonal cheeses and carries a variety of cheeses and goodies from around the world with a focus on small, American, artisanal companies.

Here at Bag & String we have long been fans of the shop and have worked well in the past with Riko & Jim, and on this trip were lucky enough to be helped through our cheese-buying experience by Nelson Harper, Cheesemonger, Cheesemaker & Processing Plant Superintendent.

After shopping the impressive selection of snacks, gifts, craft beers and local artisan goods, we left Reverie Creamery with four cheese selections:

Domaine Chandon - Garden Spritz
This sparkling wine comes across like a cocktail in a bottle! Spicy character, zesty yet rich orange flavors and nice citric tension which balances the sweetness. A bitterness not unlike such orange liqueurs as Aperol becomes more obvious at the end, bringing a taste which lifts and counterbalances the sweet character.
